If you’ve ever captured a video in low light or recorded sound with a fairly poor microphone in a difficult environment, you’ll be familiar with video and audio noise and how hard it is to remove it. How to Remove Background Noise in Davinci Resolve?

1. Click the “Effects” tab (previously known as “Effects Library”) on the “Edit” page.
2. Select “Audio FX” > “Fairlight FX” from the left-hand menu.
3. Track down the “Noise Reduction” effect.
4. Drag and drop the effect onto the timeline above your desired audio clip.
5. Choose “Manual” and then “Learn”. The button needs to be highlighted.
6. Move your playhead to the unnecessary sound, such as wind or rumble.

The preceding description is for a single audio clip. You must create a preset if you want to utilize the same noise reduction settings for multiple clips.

In Fairlight Resolve, how do you apply a noise reduction effect to a track?

1. Navigate to the “Fairlight” page.
2. Tap on “Mixer,” and your audio track should appear.
3. Tap the “+” plus sign next to “Effect” under your track.
4. “Restoration” > “Noise Reduction” should be selected.
5. This noise reduction effect will be applied throughout the track.

Furthermore, within Fairlight, you can apply noise reduction effects to specific videos and save them as presets.

Other effects can be used to eliminate noises, such as power line hums or low rumbles within a room. Some significant audio effects are:

• De-Hummer,
• Dialogue Processor,
• De-Esser, etc.

How to Eliminate Hum Noise in DaVinci Resolve

The “De-Hummer” effect, which can be found under the “Effects” tab on the “Edit” page, can be used to remove hum noise.

• Tap the “Effects” tab in the upper left section of the “Edit” page.
• Select “Audio FX” > “Fairlight FX” from the drop-down menu.
• Identify the “De-Hummer” effect.
• Drag the effect onto the desired audio clip.

You can experiment with the “Frequency” and “Amount” knobs until the hum is gone.

The frequency of hum on power lines in the United States is 60 hertz, while it is 50 hertz in Europe. As a result, you should choose the right radio button under “Frequency” for a much better outcome. If not, you can always change the knob to meet your needs.

How to Eliminate Low Rumble Noise in DaVinci Resolve?

The “Equalizer” effect is very effective at removing low-frequency rumble noise. A high-pass filter (band 1) should be able to cut out the low-end frequencies while leaving other frequencies alone.

• Navigate to the “Fairlight” page.
• Tap on “Mixer,” and your audio track should appear.
• Double-click on the graph next to “EQ” in your track.
• The “Equalizer” plugin will appear.
• “Band 1” should be selected.

You can also use Equalizer to eliminate high-frequency hiss sounds. All you need to do is use a low-pass filter (Band 6). The higher frequencies will be removed by this low-pass filter (hiss sound).
